- It was the day the Allied Forces invaded France.
- Forced the Germans to fight a two front war.
- The Germans could not handle fighting from both sides and began to struggle.
- On June 26th, twenty days after D-day, the Allies captured the French Port of Cherbourg.
- After they captured the port, Germans began to retreat.
